MCP Tools
The Gracenote MCP Server provides tools that are optimized to query Gracenote video data and return comprehensive results to enhance the accuracy and completeness of LLM responses.
The beta version Gracenote Video MCP Server is not feature complete. Current use is optimized for LLM grounding, where the MCP server provides the LLM with authoritative video metadata to enrich, correct, and verify its preliminary response before it returns an answer to the user.
The tools surfaced in the MCP Server are invoked by the LLM; they cannot and should not be called directly.
entity_resolution Tool
The entity_resolution tool disambiguates and enriches movies, TV shows, and episodes using Gracenote's comprehensive metadata database. This tool accepts entity attributes from the LLM and returns potential match responses. Returned results are ordered by match confidence and are limited to five.
