Associating an Image with a Program
In GN IDS, you register images separately from programs. To publish images, you must associate them with registered programs.
Images are published when the associated programs are published.
To associate registered images with registered programs.
- Open the program's page and click Edit.
- Click on the Images option in the side menu.
- Select the image(s) from the list of registered images and click Save.
Publish Images to be Gracenote Certified
You can request that the Gracenote Editorial team review your images for inclusion in the Gracenote Certified dataset. To do enable this feature:
- When registering an image, set the gracenoteUsage flag to true (default).

- Associate the image with a presentation (movie, show, or episode). See Associating an Image with a Program (page 37).
- Request that the presentation be published. This will send all associated images to Gracenote Editorial for review, and possible inclusion.
Seasons can also have associated images. These images are sent to the Gracenote Editorial team for review when you request the Season's parent Show to be published.
Note: *After the presentation is published, any images you associate with the presentation will be sent to Gracenote only after you request to republish the presentation. Currently, the web app does not support republishing, so you will need to use the GN IDS API to republish. *

About Gracenote Conforming Images
Images whose categories, dimensions, and aspect ratios adhere to normalized Gracenote image standards are conforming. These images are labeled as "conforming" when made available to distribution platforms via Source Data Delivery. Conforming images enable distribution platforms receiving the images to easily align them to Gracenote categories and dimensions they are already familiar with, significantly easing integration.
Conforming images in GN IDS correspond to standard image categories and dimensions applied to Gracenote certified datasets. By registering images as conforming in GN IDS, distribution platforms can seamlessly integrate the images into their discovery experiences.
The tables below show the relationships between conforming images and Gracenote standard images. The table also shows how source input categories map to Gracenote categories for movies and non-movie productions. In this table, program types marked with (✓) are not currently curated by Gracenote or delivered in Gracenote data products. However, they are available for registration and Source Data Delivery.
